Press Release

The Florida Steeplechase in its inaugural year, 2022, will be run as a ‘‘preliminarily sanctioned’ meet. The races will be listed on the Central Entry Office website when the Point to Point calendar and official condition book are published. This year’s meet will be run with the guidance and supervision of the National Steeplechase Association and the Temple Gwathmey Foundation with an aim to build The Florida Steeplechase into a fully sanctioned meet in 2023. Horsemen’s participation in this inaugural running is greatly appreciated and will aid in the development of this meet and expansion of the racing calendar for the future.
